Hi, I’m Kristen- though a lot of people call me KP 😊
I’m a fabric designer for Andover Fabrics, photographer, quilter, and creative storyteller based in Winter Park, Florida. Everything I create is rooted in a love of color, visual storytelling, sewing, and helping makers create beautiful things.
Creativity has always been a huge part of who I am. These days that mostly looks like designing fabric collections, styling and photographing products for creative businesses, sewing quilts and projects, and creating inspiration and resources for quilt shops and makers. I love the connection between fabric, patterns, photography, and the stories they help tell.
Color is at the center of almost everything I create. I’m drawn to work that feels joyful, playful, thoughtful, and full of personality. I love mixing bold color palettes with meaningful details and creating things that feel both beautiful and approachable.
I was born in Canada but now live in sunny Florida with my husband, our four boys, a puppy, and kitties. My family is at the center of everything I do and so much of my work is shaped by the life we’ve built together- loud, colorful, creative, and usually covered in fabric scraps or half-finished projects. You can often find me dancing in the kitchen, laughing too loudly, listening to music or audiobooks while I work, or dreaming up my next project.
Even though Florida is home now, my heart will always belong a little bit to both the mountains and the ocean. That sense of wonder, adventure, color, and movement finds its way into my work constantly.
Thank you so much for being here and spending time in my little corner of the internet. I’m so glad you’re here.
