you have to see this violet backpack made with my upcoming fabric collection!
I’m definitely a little behind on the Violet & Archie Backpack sew-alongs, but I hope you’re not—because wow, it’s been so much fun to see all the incredible bags popping up! Kait of Knot and Thread has been hosting such a great sew-along, and the creativity in the #violetbackpack hashtag on ig has totally blown me away.
Before the sew-along wraps up, I had to share this absolute stunner that Kait made for my H+H booth in Chicago. 😍 She did such an incredible job—I’m completely obsessed with how it turned out!
Even more exciting? She used some of my upcoming fabric from the Color Pop Playground collection! You might’ve spotted it if you’ve been following her progress: she quilted the bag using the printed grid on one of my pre-release prints… exactly what I envisioned when I designed it! Seeing it stitched up like this is such a full-circle moment for me. I seriously cannot wait to get this fabric into your hands—October cannot come soon enough!!
If you’re making one of these bags (or thinking about jumping in), be sure to check out Kait’s youtube. She’s shared tons of helpful tips, tricks, and inspiration—and whether you’re a bag-making pro or a total beginner, there’s something to learn and love.
