3 ways to use color pop playground in your quilts
One of my favorite things about designing fabric is seeing how versatile a collection can be once it’s in a quilter’s hands. My upcoming line, Color Pop Playground with Andover Fabrics, is full of bold color, playful prints, and some really fun low-volume options that give you so many different ways to create.
Here’s what I love about this collection: you can use it all together for a vibrant, scrappy look—or you can choose just one part of the collection and let it shine. Here are a few ideas:
Use the Full Collection
Mix all the prints and colors for a happy, playful quilt that feels like a celebration of creativity. Think scrappy patchwork, sampler quilts, or anything that thrives on color.
Stick to a Single Colorway
Each color group in Color Pop Playground can stand on its own. Want a pink-and-red quilt? Or a cool, calming teal-and-blue design? Pull one colorway and you’ve got an instant, coordinated palette.
Highlight the Low Volumes
In the quilt pictured here- the Fresh as a Daisy quilt by Pen and Paper Patterns, Ann from Stitch Supply Co pulled all the low-volume prints and paired them with Isle, a century solid from Andover. The result? A soft, airy quilt where the daisies truly pop against the background. It’s such a fresh take, and I absolutely love how it shows off another side of the collection.
That’s the beauty of Color Pop Playground—you can mix and match in endless ways, depending on your style and project. Whether you go bold with all the colors, stick to one group, or lean into the low volumes, you’ll end up with something playful and uniquely you.
I can’t wait to see how YOU use Color Pop Playground! 💛
