a year later: from quilt market pitch to fabric on shelves ✨

Branding books I passed out at Quilt Market.

It’s honestly hard to believe that just one year ago, I was walking the aisles at Quilt Market with two lovely friends, portfolio in hand, pitching my artwork and surface design collections to companies. I can still remember the nerves, the excitement, and that mix of “what am I doing?” and “this could actually happen!” energy running through me.

Fast forward to now — my very first fabric collection, Color Pop Playground, is out in shops! 💕 Seeing my designs printed on bolts and sitting on store shelves is something I still can’t quite wrap my head around. It’s surreal in the best possible way.

But I also want to be honest: this didn’t happen overnight.

It took four+ years of dedicated work — learning surface design, creating portfolio after portfolio, refining my style, and showing up day after day even when progress felt slow. There were so many late nights, so many patterns that never saw the light of day, and so many moments of wondering if I’d ever get there.

The truth is, creative growth takes time. Every sketch, every experiment, every collection that doesn’t quite click — it all builds toward something.

If you’re in the middle of that journey right now, wondering when things will start to happen… keep showing up. Keep creating. Keep building that body of work that reflects you. The small steps add up, and before you know it, you might just find yourself standing in a quilt shop, seeing your art on fabric bolts. 🌈✨

Seeing my fabric in a shop for the first time!!

I’m endlessly grateful to be part of the @andoverfabrics family and can’t wait to share even more with you soon.

Thanks for following along and celebrating this milestone with me — it truly means the world. 💗
