finding focus an update on my weekly top 3
This photo might seem random but it is proof of a completed Top 3 from last week!! Also, isn’t this color palette SO good?!?!
Last week I tried something new—choosing just three main priorities for the week instead of staring down a giant, overwhelming to-do list. And you know what? I loved it.
Having a Top 3 gave me a clear starting point each day, and it even nudged me to finish a task that I probably would have kept pushing off. (Don’t you love when that happens?)
Now, full disclosure: I didn’t finish all three. The weather was not on my side for photoshoots, and there’s only so much you can do when the light won’t cooperate. But here’s the thing—I still feel like the week was a success. Two out of three big wins is nothing to sneeze at, and the photos will roll over into this week’s list. No guilt, just forward motion.
Why I’m Sticking with a Top 3
After trying this for the first time last week, I realized just how much clarity it brought to my work. Here’s what I’ve noticed so far:
It takes the pressure off. Instead of trying to do everything, I’m choosing what matters most right now.
It builds momentum. Crossing off three big things feels way better than making tiny progress on a dozen. It’s satisfying and motivating.
It keeps me flexible. Some weeks, life (or weather!) has other plans. The Top 3 gives me room to roll things over without feeling like I’ve “failed.”
My Top 3 This Week
Here’s what I’m working toward right now:
Design Project Completed – Even though I can’t share it yet, checking this one off will feel amazing.
Ghostly Garden Sample Photos – Hoping this week’s light plays nice because I’m dying to show you more of this collection.
Marketing Prep for ColorPop Playground – Shops are getting ready, and I’m putting together resources to make launch time easier.

Last week I loved reading your Top 3s and celebrating your wins with you. Let’s keep it going!
Think about what three things would make your week feel successful, and write them down. It doesn’t matter if you share them in the comments, on a sticky note by your desk, or in your planner—what matters is that you give yourself a clear, focused path forward.
Here’s to another week of progress, even if it’s two out of three. 😉
