quilt patterns that would look amazing in ghostly garden 👻💕- part 1

One of my favorite things about releasing a new fabric collection is imagining all of the different ways it could come to life in quilts and sewing projects. And honestly… I have approximately one million ideas for Andover Fabrics Ghostly Garden 😂

Since I can’t possibly sew all of them myself, I’ve been gathering together some of my favorite Halloween quilt pattern ideas that I think would look especially fun in Ghostly Garden. Some of these are patterns I’ve already started sewing with, some are quilts I’m still dreaming about, and a few include mockups shared by incredibly talented quilt designers.

If you’re looking for:

  • colorful Halloween quilting inspiration

…hopefully this gives you lots of fun ideas to get sewing 💛

Pen and Paper Patterns Spider Quilt

This was the VERY first quilt I wanted to make when I got my Ghostly Garden sample fabric.

I actually started by sewing one of the smaller spider blocks and turned it into a quilted pillow for our home, but I would absolutely love to see an entire Spider Quilt made from this collection.

One thing I love about this pattern is how flexible it is. I think you could:

  • use the Web & Bloom prints as backgrounds

  • mix in multiple ginghams for colorful rainbow spiders

  • create a super scrappy version

  • lean into bold Halloween contrast

The pattern also includes an option for one large spider block quilt, which would make such a fun fast finish and would really let the fabric shine.

Whether you make the full quilt or the oversized version, both options are adorable and work for different skill levels.

Woolly Petals Ghost Party Quilt

I absolutely could not resist including a ghost quilt in this roundup 👻

Ghost Party feels like such a perfect match for Ghostly Garden because the collection already has that playful spooky feeling while still staying colorful and floral.

For this quilt, you’ll need:

  • 12 fat quarters for the scrappy background

  • 8 fat quarters for the ghosts

I would personally use a mix of the brighter florals and webs for the background and pull in a few low-volume prints for the ghosts themselves. My top pick for the ghosts in this pattern would be Spin and Spot in White and Black.

I think the contrast between the colorful background and softer ghost shapes would be SO cute.

Cluck Cluck Sew Pumpkin Patches

Pumpkin Patches would also be incredibly fun in Ghostly Garden and I love that this quilt isn’t strictly Halloween-specific, which means you could easily leave it out through fall and Thanksgiving too.

The pattern calls for:

  • an assortment of 10 fat quarters

  • background fabric

  • 4 fabrics for the pumpkins. And guess what? Ghostly Garden already includes FOUR oranges that would work perfectly for pumpkin variety 🎃

For the background, I’d personally choose Spin and Spot in black and white or a favorite crisp solid white

This quilt would feel bright, playful, and modern with the collection colors.

Modernly Morgan Night Vision

Night Vision is such a fun star quilt pattern and I think it would look amazing with either a dark or light background.

Personally, I would LOVE to see this quilt made using:

  • all of the bright Ghostly Garden colors

  • Black Floral Frights as the background fabric

I think the colorful stars would absolutely glow against that darker floral background.

This pattern would also be a great way to showcase lots of smaller cuts from the collection while still keeping the overall quilt feeling cohesive.

Honestly, narrowing down Ghostly Garden quilt ideas has been almost impossible because I have SO many things I want to make with this collection 😂👻

These first few patterns were the ones I kept coming back to over and over while planning projects and pulling fabrics, but there are definitely more ideas coming soon. Ghostly Garden has been such a fun collection to dream with because it works for everything from playful Halloween quilts to scrappy projects and bold statement pieces.
